The school gates open at 8.35am and close at 8.45am – school starts at 8:45am.
(Children should not be on the school premises before 8.35 am unless attending Breakfast Club or before school interventions.)
If parents/carers wish to take their child into school and see/speak to the class teacher on the door they may do so, but MUST park off the school site. If, however, parents/carers simply wish to drop their child at school we have a ‘Drop and Go’ zone where children can be dropped off to walk into school independently. If you are at all worried about your younger children using this facility, please just let us know as our friendly team will always escort children to the correct gate.
All children have a 15 minute staggered Breaktime at some point in the morning.
KS1 children have lunch at 12pm and KS2 children start lunch at 12.15pm.
All children are able to participate in The Daily Mile at some stage across the school day. thedailymile.co.uk
School finishes at 3.15pm for all children.
Please note that we are proud to be working with the Dorset Safer Streets scheme, and the area outside our school is a strict pedestrian zone between 2.45pm & 3.30pm and parents/carers MUST park off the school site at this time for safety purposes. 
From September 1st 2026, the only vehicles allowed on site between 2.45 & 3.30pm will be school buses and taxis as we just don’t have the space to accommodate everyone. Thank you for your support and understanding with this as it allows us to keep our most vulnerable children safe.
Time spent on teaching during the normal school week for KS1 & 2 is 24 hours and 15 minutes. This includes Religious Education, but excludes the statutory act of collective worship, registration and breaks (including lunch).
From the start of the school day to home time, consists of a 32.5 hour school week.
